Common faults and solutions of electric chain hoist motors

The electric hoist with trolley works continuously for a long time, which causes the motor to run over frequency. In addition, it may not have a good lubrication effect, which will cause the temperature to be too high, so the electric chain hoist will burn out. The contactor and the fuse break down, the line contact error, all cause the motor to lose the phase.

The following are common faults and solutions that cause motor faults, for users’ reference:

1. The fuse of the power supply is blown or the non-fuse switch is tripped.

Solution: Check whether the current requirements are met, replace a suitable fuse or restart the no-fuse switch.

2. The phase of the power cord is connected incorrectly, which causes the phase protection function to start, so it cannot be operated.

Solution: swap the power cords of the two phases with each other.

3.The power cord or control circuit wire is broken or not connected properly.

Solution: Repair or replace the broken and undesirable wires.

4. The fuse that controls the electric furnace is burned out.

Solution: Check and replace the correct fuse.

5. The voltage of the power supply is too low.

Solution: Measure whether the voltage value is lower than 10% of the standard power supply voltage.

6. The motor makes a sound, but it does not rotate.

Solution: Check whether the motor phase is properly repaired and insulated.

7. Bad contactor.

Solution: Manually operate the hoist. If the electric movable hoist 1 ton is operating normally, it means that the control coil or wire has poor contact-find the position of the poor contact and repair it; if the electric chain hoist is operated manually, it still cannot be operated. You need to check whether the main power supply is normal. If the main power supply does not have a title, the contactor is defective and cannot output normally, and the contactor needs to be replaced.

8. The emergency switch is pressed

Solution: Confirm the reason for pressing the emergency switch.

9. The solution to the contactor’s coil open circuit: replace the contactor
